About the company:
This is a German company celebrating its centenary this year. A company with rich family traditions, it is now headed by a representative of the third generation of the family, the grandson of our founder. In 2018 we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the company in Russia. Here we have one plant and about 600 employees. The last few years have been very successful for our company: we made a breakthrough and took a worthy place among the main players in the dairy market. Our most famous and beloved brand, which never fails to delight consumers with new original flavours. A line of children's fermented milk products for children from three years old, Mama Lama, recently appeared. Our milk dessert Grand Dessert cannot be overlooked either. People love our products, look for them on the shelf, buy them and eat them with pleasure. We have big plans for the future and are not going to rest on our achievements. We strive to make every partner our customer too. We love our products ourselves and always treat everyone to our new items.
I joined the company in 2003, but I was not immediately involved in payroll processes and interaction with your company. I probably started dealing with payroll in 2006. And for a long time it was one of my main functions.
When I joined the project all the processes were already in place. I did not take part in moving the payroll function to outsourcing, so I cannot say what the transition period was like.
Of course, a lot has happened over the years, but we have never wanted to change anything radically or find another provider. I think that says something about your quality.
Now I act more as a manager overseeing the process, resolving complex cases if they arise and taking responsibility for launching new elements and making process decisions. I take part in spot checks of the calculations and I am responsible overall for what happens with payments.
The relations are wonderful! Our project manager, Natalia Kupavtseva, has never changed. It would be a real tragedy for us if Natalia suddenly left our project :). We once started on an equal footing: she calculated our project and I provided her with the data for the calculation. Our roles have changed since then, but the sense of partnership and the confidence that we can find a solution in any situation, however difficult, remains. I have been asked more than once or twice to give references to your potential clients, and I always say the same thing.
Projects vary, but it is vital that the chemistry happens, even remotely.
Flexibility of processes matters a great deal: how well the person on your side fits a particular client, whether they are ready to do a little more for the client than required. Not in terms of extra hours, but, for example, simply providing more information, advising in more detail or taking an extra step that is not directly required by the contract. When you feel that the person is not just formally calculating your company's payroll but is involved in its work, that is the key to successful outsourcing.
Our legislation changes rapidly and the changes cannot always be interpreted unambiguously or clearly; for example, there are often no instructions on how to apply new legal provisions. Then we come to you and your methodologists for advice to understand what needs to be done and what of that you can do for us. With your support you feel much more confident. Since the pandemic began this has become especially relevant.
It is very important, at such difficult moments, to find in an outsourcer not just a service provider but a true partner with whom you overcome difficulties and gain new experience.
The speed of your response is beyond praise. That is not an exaggeration, honestly. You just have to understand that in any company situations sometimes arise when something is needed yesterday. And we really value your help in such situations.
I am always pleased that you resolve the few problems that sometimes arise very promptly. And thank you for being ready to change in the areas where you are not perfect.
Clear!
Giving advice is a thankless task, and besides, my experience is not that extensive, since we have not held any tenders or compared you with anyone since we chose your company. It seems to me that the main thing is to identify the core functions for which a decision has to be made whether to outsource them or keep them in-house. I think outsourcing is a very effective solution: you can focus on what really brings profit to the company.
Here the secret is probably a shared one. The company is a family one, so we very much welcome long-term relationships, as in a family. And why artificially change something if everything is fine? So as long as we are happy with our relationship, we will stay with you.
Thanks to the will and professionalism of the team we have reached a completely new level in terms of the company's position in the market, product quality and internal culture, and we are proud of our achievements. We have become a role model for our competitors; they copy our flavours, designs and packaging formats, and that is probably also a sign of success. Given the current realities, it is hard to predict how the situation will develop. One thing is certain: our plans are to keep surprising the market and create unique products that no one has made yet. I am sure that in the hearts of our consumers we will always be number one, because there is no one else like us.
